A properly running engine ensures your marine vessel takes you where you need to go. Few things are as panic-inducing as when the engine fails while at sea. Stuck in the middle of the ocean or bay water without a properly running engine is not something most of us want to deal with. Strainers
Boat engines filter water to keep them cool as they operate. Without a properly running strainer, the engine can become clogged with grass, sticks and other debris floating on the surface of the water. A clogged engine can fail to run. Fluids

Fuel

Flush
As part of your regular trip maintenance, it is a good idea to flush the motor. Fixing a clog before you leave is much easier than on the water. Debris stuck in the motor prevents it from properly running. Regular maintenance of the engine lets you enjoy many hours of boating.
